What Will my Child Learn?
Christian Character
Jesus is at the forefront of KinderSprout. We will learn how to live like Him by focusing on the fruits of the spirit, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law” (Galatians 5:22-23). Each month (September - June) we will focus on one fruit of the spirit, except for September, which will focus on the theme of friendship.
School Readiness Skills
We learn about our emotions, how to play and communicate with one another, and how to process sensory stimulation. Your child will gain and practice their executive functioning and social skills.
Academic Skills
We will meet your child where he/she is at, focusing on literacy, numeracy, fine and gross motor skills. We will look to the Alberta Kindergarten Program of Studies to help guide our teaching, as well as the Alberta Early Learning “Flight” curriculum.
Our daily schedule includes literacy and numeracy learning centers/activities, and plenty of learning through play!
Kindergarten-aged children get to experience classroom-style learning with a certified teacher in a unique small-group setting. This means more individualized attention, academic support and reduced stress and overstimulation during this important year of learning!
Meet the Educators

Early Childhood Educator, Level 3
Hey! I’m Melissa! I have been in the early childhood education field for over 10 years. I have also been a children’s and youth Pastor as well as worked in Foster Care when I was living in Calgary. I am happy to call Central Alberta home and be back living with my family. I enjoy embroidery, going to the mountains, and going on the occasional adventure around the world.
I am so excited to be with the KinderSprout team!

Early Childhood Educator, Level 3 & Certified Teacher
Hi! I’m Miss Tessa, and I’ve been part of the KinderSprout family for over two years. I’m so thankful to be part of this program and to grow alongside so many wonderful children and families!
Working with children has always been something I’ve loved. From an early age, I knew I wanted to spend my days working with children. My interest in teaching grew while studying at Millar College of the Bible, where I also had the opportunity to grow in my faith and learn more about children’s ministry. I recently graduated from Red Deer Polytechnic with my Bachelor of Education degree.
I feel incredibly blessed to work with children each day, support their learning and growth, and most importantly, share the sacrificial, unchanging, and unwavering love of God with them. I’m so excited for another great year at KinderSprout!

Early Childhood Educator, Level 2
Hello! My name is Aggie Ezetennadi and I am looking forward to starting with Kindersprout Playschool. I am the oldest of 11 children, so I have always been around children and just kind of gravitated in that direction. I have taught Sunday school, as well as volunteerd in the nursery at church. I used to run a day home for many years in Lethbridge, and then also in Red Deer when I moved here in 2013. I have my level 2, and worked in a different daycare for four and half years before starting with KinderSprout.
I was born in Ontario, moved to Mexico when I was about 8, lived there for 4 years, and then moved to Alberta in 1994. I have been here ever since.
I have a 12-year-old daughter and 3 beautiful step-children that just fill my heart. I am excited to get the opportunity to work in a faith-based daycare. It is a passion of mine to be able to teach children that they are loved by God.

Early Childhood Educator, Level 3 &
Certified TeacherHello! My name is Jeanette Martel, and I am so thrilled to be part of the KinderSprout team!
I received my Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 2013 and have loved teaching and working with children ever since. My husband and I were both born and raised in Red Deer, and we are now blessed to be raising our four children here as well. As a family, we love exploring God’s creation through hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors. We also enjoy attending church together and being involved in our church community.
I truly believe working with children is what God has called me to do. I love meeting each child where they are, celebrating what makes them unique, and helping them grow with confidence, curiosity, and joy. Most importantly, I feel privileged to help children discover how deeply they are loved by God and how wonderfully He has made them. I am so grateful to be part of KinderSprout and to learn and grow alongside such wonderful children!

Early Childhood Educator, Level 1
Hi! My name is Chloe Leonard, and I’m so excited to be part of the Kindersprout team! I recently graduated from high school, completed my Level 1 Early Childhood Education Certification, and am currently working towards my Level 2.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, nurturing environment where each child feels supported, and encouraged to grow. I especially love nurturing children’s individual talents and interests and helping them discover the things they enjoy and are good at. I have lots of experience babysitting and have also had the joy of serving in the nursery at my church.
I feel very blessed and excited to have the opportunity to care for and teach the children at Kindersprout, and help them learn more about God and His love for each of them.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, drawing, golfing, and going on nature walks. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of the children!
